Of audiobooks, story ideas, and house hunting

So Heather and I just got back a couple of days ago from our honeymoon. We had an awesome time on our theme park tour. We hit Dollywood, Six Flags, Universal Studios, Islands of Adventure, and Busch Gardens. Overall, we like Six Flags the most, but our favorite ride was the Hulk in Islands of Adventure. We can’t wait to go back again and do it all over again. It was really worth the fast passes. If you’re going to go to a theme park, you need the fast passes.

We decided to rent a couple of audio books to listen to while we were on the road, and it was really worth it. We listened to Eragon by Paolini and Breakfast of Champions by Vonnegut. I thoroughly enjoyed both books, but I could tell that Heather didn’t care too much for Vonnegut’s book. I’ll be honest, it was a little disjointed, but I still really liked it. I haven’t found a book of his that I hate yet. Anyway, while we were listening and just relaxing on our honeymoon, I came up with a number of ideas for stories that I can’t seem to find anything to do with. Either its a character that doesn’t have a place anywhere, or a story with a concept too high for me to write modestly. I’m having a friend over and I hope to be able to hash some of the details out by just chatting and messing around. I guess we shall see.

One more thing, before this gets too long: We decided to go look at a couple of houses when we got back from our honeymoon, to get into the mood of house hunting again, but while we were out, we found a house that we fell in love with. We are speaking with a lender and sorting out details with our realtor. I guess we’ll see what happens, but I didn’t think we would find something so wonderful on our first go around that’s completely in our price range. I guess we will find the devil in the details soon enough. Take care.
